Putting Drills for Kids

Getting Young Golfers Started

Golf is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and introducing kids to golf at a young age can instill a lifelong passion for the game. Putting, often considered the most critical part of golf, is a great place to start teaching young golfers the fundamentals of the sport. In this blog post, we’ll explore some fun and effective putting drills specifically designed to get kids started on their golfing journey.

Why Start with Putting?

Putting offers several advantages when introducing kids to golf:

  1. Simplified Technique: Putting involves a simpler and more straightforward technique compared to full swings, making it easier for kids to grasp the basics.
  2. Instant Gratification: Success in putting can lead to immediate feelings of accomplishment, boosting a child’s confidence and interest in the game.
  3. Focus on Fundamentals: Teaching putting allows kids to learn important golf fundamentals such as alignment, grip, and posture early on.
